Signing day

Signing day.

What a big day in a high school student athlete's life.  They sign a little piece of paper that determines what the rest of their is going to be.  Which school they're gonna go to will play a huge part in what field they want to go into, which in turn will determine what kind of job and what kind of pay roll they will have and ultimately tell what they're future will be like.

For some it's easy, and for others its very hard.  Lets be honest. lesbi honest. None of us actually want to grow up yet.  We don't want to have to do things on our own yet.  We all still want our mom's or dad's to do things for us.  But sometime you're gonna have to face reality and actually grow up.

Signing day is a scary day... camera's flashin, making you feel like a celebrity but the next day reality hits and you have to start training and for some it will be the hardest they've had to work they're entire lives. But one thing these "celebrities" have to remember is to stay grounded.  Don't get caught up in all this hooplah in what they call signing day.  It's mainly just for the media to have a story to get their dirty little noses in to other peoples business.

Stay humble my friends

Jealousy

Lonely on the land I walk,
Lonely cross the sea I sail,
Lonely air of beach I stroll –
This lonely life doth take its toll.

I wish I could write as good as this... I'm jealous of how good it is.  Mark Slaughter is a great writer and all of his poems are deep and have great meaning..

Dialogue

One day my heart told me "Just go up and talk to her, she doesn't bite"
But I just kept ignoring it.  It just kept telling me that and wouldn't shut
Up about it.  But when I finally got the courage to do it, the girl was gone
She moved away.  Always listen to your heart.  It knows what it's saying.

Always act on what it is telling you.

Lazy Chair

STOLEN

Oh love to me is but a season
Hardly ever does it stay
Though it hurts to find a reason
Like my dreams it fades away

Yep that's all that's in my journal....

How to

How to get by in high school.

1.  Get on all the teachers good side.
2.  If at all possible, play a sport.
3.  Don't be stupid in their class.  Only outside of their class can you act stupid.
4.  Only do Some of the work. If you do step one than they'll work with you on step 4.
5.  Finally, if your teacher has a kid in your grade. Become best friends with them.

I remember

I remember being in sixth grade and the third star wars came out and I
wanted to go to the midnight premier by myself.
I remember having a best friend and doing everything with him until he moved
away. I remember kissing a girl for the first time and it was so gross and I told my mom.
I remember sleeping next to mommy when she would read to me at night. I remember
playing the first Halo for hours each day. I remember when I found a dog and brought it
home and my dad got really mad at me.  I remember losing my baseball.  I remember
playing little league baseball. I remember being scared of the sixth graders. I remember
going down to the principals office six times every year.  I remember getting made fun of. I
remember not wanting to grow up.....
